About my Prints

All images are printed and prepared by me prior to delivery, I keep no inventory to help ensure the photograph are delivered to you in perfect condition. I print on Red River photo stock, from the different papers I have tested, Red River helps bring my photos to life. The majority of my prints are on the Red River Polar Luster paper. Photographs are printed on a professional Canon printer using OEM Canon LUCIA Pigment link.

titling and Signing

The photograph title and signature will be in the margin below the image. If you prefer the title, edition number (if applicable) and signature on the back of the print, please be sure to let me know when ordering.

Custom Mat

I do offer custom cut mats up to 16x20. My preferred mat size is 16x20, with the cut out ¼ inch of white border along the top and sides of the picture, and ¾ inch at the bottom to make the title and signature visible. This method will expose the entire picture. If you prefer the standard matting with ¼ inch of the mat overlaps all sides of the picture please let me know once you place your order. All mats are white unless otherwise specified, currently I do not offer stacked mats for any prints. If you have a special request, please send me an email and we can see what we can work out.

Custom mats will fit standard frames: 8x8, 8x10, 10x10, 12x12, 11x17, 16x20.

Sizing Details

Photographs can be printed as large as 13x19, my preferred size is to maximize the 13x19 space and make the images as large as possible. Leaving enough room on the sides for mounting and sizing, using around 80% of the space for the image. 13x19 prints fit best in frames that are 16x20, though it is possible to find 13x19 frames if you are not planning on matting the image. I offer the prints at the size I feel they look the best, if you would like a size that is not listed please contact me to see if it is available and the cost.

Any print larger than 13x19 will be printed by a 3rd party and inspected by me prior to delivery. Delivery times will be extended for these prints.

Shipping

All prints will be shipped 1st class mail. 8x10 will be shipped in a flat mailer, larger prints will be rolled and sent in a durable, heavyweight tube. For matted and framed images, appropriate shipping material will be used to ensure your order will arrive undamaged. All shipments are processed by me, and should be in the mail within 3 to 5 days of the initial order. I do travel often which could delay preparation and shipping. For longer trips a notice will be placed in the derickblack.com store, shorter trips I will contact you directly. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email shipping confirmation.

Orders containing multiple prints are shipped together to save you packing and shipping fees. If you would prefer items to be packed separately, please place your orders separately.

Legal

The photographer, Derick Black reserves the right to reproduce image for use in greeting cards, calendars, books and for promotional purposes. These reproductions are not considered originals. Refunds are only offered if the print is damaged on arrival and reported no later than 14 days after delivery. Although every effort has been made to ensure the measurements are correct, this not a guaranteed as each print is individually made and some may be hand cut.

All limited edition prints are supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
