For the third year, I have had photos accepted into the Beaverton Arts Mix! This year I have one photo being judged, and I am pleased to say that my photo, “Prayer Flags” was selected as Juror’s Choice. Just like last year the event is being held virtually, hopefully by next year the event will be able to be in-person again. I arrived a day before the rest of the group so with a downloaded copy of maps from Google and no cell phone service, I set out. My hotel was in the heart of the Thamel a major commercial and tourist area, with everything a person would need to outfit themselves to trek.
Read MoreWe trekked over 51 miles, reached 17,598 ft, in 10 days. We reached Mount Everest Base Camp. The trip ended dramatically a few days early when we had to take a helicopter from Tembouche to Katmandu. We achieved our goal and and look forward to our next visit to the Himalayas!
